Meet the Team

Scott Jordan

Originally from Great Bend, Kansas, Scott started Jordan Design Studio in 2000 after more than a decade with a reputable residential and hospitality firm here in Denver. As Principal Designer of the firm, he still approaches every project with a pencil and sketchbook in hand, ready to artfully craft your vision into reality. After 31 years in the business, Scott’s been published and received accolades and awards, but he’s always quick to remember that it’s all about the people and the relationships he’s forged with his clients. When he’s not busy working his designer magic, he can be found cycling, spending time with his family, or ducking into antique malls looking for one of a kind pieces and old etchings to add to his collection.

Hilary Wood

Hilary knew two things from a young age, (1) She wanted to move to Colorado, and (2) She wanted to be an Interior Designer. After graduating high school in Kaneohe, Hawaii in 2001 she hopped a plane and went on to receive her B.S. in Interior Design from Colorado State University – dreams really do come true! Hilary joined the JDS team in 2007 and has been Scott’s right-hand [wo]man ever since. While she enjoys the creativity in playing Senior Designer, she also loves the relationships formed with clients, tradespeople, and vendors alike while acting as Project Manager. When she’s not at the studio you can likely find her thrifting her way through the city and selling clothing online. She loves fashion as much as interiors – Iris Apfel is her spirit animal!

Karen Zirkle

Karen, originally from Western New York, had an appreciation for design even in those early years. During a stint working for a Fortune 100 company – first as a CPA and later in sales and management, she continued to harbor a passion for art and interiors. As life would have it, she soon decided to seek out a degree in interior design and she’s been at it ever since. Karen is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and jokes that the other letters after her name should be MAMA, as her first and favorite job is being a mother to a couple of incredible teenagers. Karen loves all things art, especially festivals and folk art. Her super power in life, and design, is listening (or so she hears).

Sandy Delaney

As the Finance Director at Jordan Design Studio, Sandy Delaney runs the nuts and bolts of the business. A Colorado native, Sandy has a B.S. in Accounting and has been in the field for 25 years. When she’s not busy cutting checks and processing orders she can be found hosting large family events and baking ‘til her heart’s content. While Sandy is often caught up in numbers and paperwork behind the scenes, she is equally as invested in supporting the designers and client communications alike. She is definitely the “heart” of the team with her compassionate, caring nature and willingness to give the shirt off her back. Seriously. Please do not ask her for her shirt.
